Bedford County Fair is a tradition that came back to life in 2015 at the Glenwood Center in Huddleston, VA. It stayed in operation for five years at this site with record attendance by many from Bedford County and the surrounding areas. Due to a time out surrounding Covid 19 and the process to locate a new site, we came back in 2024 at a site on Falling Creek Rd., next to the Bedford County Sheriff's Office. We had a record attendance of approximately 20,000. The year 2025 brought us to Liberty Lake Park and a new partnership with the Town of Bedford. The 2025 fair was broken down to four sites with events at four different time frames. Our goal is to bring at least two components of the fair together in 2026. The carnival and the Ag Competition (Home Goods) contests. We are working on the logistics to do this at Liberty Lake Park with the Town of Bedford. The Equine and Livestock shows were held at Allen's Mountain Farm in 2025, and the Ken Palmer Memorial Scholarship Contest was held at the Bedford Boys Tribute Center. The Equine/Livestock show needs a space larger than what is currently available at Liberty Lake Park.

We would appreciate your assistance to help us get the Fair off the ground and into operation for 2026. We bring a midway to offer the traditional carnival rides, foods, and games. We bring in bands to feature local talent. Many food and non-food vendors to bring great products and opportunities to learn about how the vendors create the products they sell, and to visit with local businesses sponsoring the fair, plus don't forget our Nonprofit Expo on Saturday morning to learn how the various organizations help our neighbors in our community. One of our favorite features of the fair is the "Old McDonald Farm" tent. Our local FFA and agriculture students from the Liberty and Staunton River School Districts bring in animals to show, plus they care for them over the whole weekend.

Thanks to the great sponsorships over the past years of operation, we have been able to offer a free gate event. Our goal is to continue offering a fair with no admission fees. We want our attendees to be able to support the midway and our vendors. Sponsorships from many local businesses and nonprofit organizations have allowed us to do this.

The Ag Competition is full of contests for Bedford County residents to enter. Baking, Arts and Crafts, Produce, Food Preservation, Photography and Art, Poster Essay Contest, Horticulture, plus some special contests. Our Honey competition is the one contest that is open to beekeepers of Bedford County and the surrounding counties.

Please consider at sponsorship of Bedford County Fair, Inc. A longtime tradition that highlights the agricultural nature of our community. A great time for family fun and fellowship with friends and neighbors.
