Since 1982, Lynchburg Daily Bread has been a community cornerstone, 

serving free, hot and nutritious meals every day of the year—no questions asked.  

In 2024, we served 302,946 meals, extending our reach through our Meals Outreach Program to 24 locations across Central Virginia.  

Each Tuesday, we deliver fresh produce and nutritious snacks to the Bedford YMCA Childcare Program and Joseph's Dream.

Each Wednesday, we prepare and deliver 100 hot meals and grocery items to the underserved communities of Powder Horn, Raintree Village, and Salem Court in Bedford, VA.  

Our work is fueled by the generosity of local grocery stores, businesses, and individuals who donate food, along with the dedication of our daily volunteers who help prepare and serve each meal.  Your support of our mission through SML Gives enables us to continue providing this vital service, making sure no one in our community goes hungry.  Thank you for standing with us in the fight against hunger!
