At the Franklin County Family YMCA, we are committed to strengthening our community through programs that truly change lives. From helping children gain life-saving water safety skills to empowering individuals living with Parkinson’s through Rock Steady Boxing, your support creates lasting impact right here at home.

Through our 2nd Grade Swim Program, we served 401 youth this year—reducing the number of at-risk swimmers from 295 to just 82, with 70 children now able to swim, float, and travel 15 yards safely. For those needing extra support, we provided free remedial lessons to ensure every child has the opportunity to learn this critical life skill.

Our Rock Steady Boxing program is equally life-changing—serving individuals living with Parkinson’s disease through non-contact boxing classes designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence. Participants often experience improved coordination, reduced symptoms, and a renewed sense of independence—all while building a supportive community that fights back together.
