ONE Forest School is Virginia’s first accredited, internationally recognized forest school, serving children and families at Deerhead Nature Preserve in Bedford County.

Through immersive, place-based outdoor education, we help children build confidence, resilience, environmental literacy, and a lifelong connection to nature.

Last summer alone, we served 40 campers and supported 27 local families — providing full and partial scholarships so that no child was turned away due to financial hardship.
